Abstract

CD86 is a 70-kDa glycoprotein made up of 329 amino acids, a transmembrane region and a longer cytoplasmic domain than CD80. It is expressed on interdigitating dendritic cells (DCs), Langerhans cells, peripheral blood DCs, memory B cells and germinal center B cells and macrophages.
