Abstract

Background: Acne scarring is a common dermatological concern, with its severity often linked to the grade of acne, leading to significant emotional and psychological distress in affected individuals. Objectives: This comprehensive review article aims to explore contemporary treatment modalities, specifically platelet-rich plasma (PRP), plasma gel, and microneedling, for the management of acne scarring in dermatology. Conclusions: Acne scarring is a challenging condition that requires a nuanced understanding of its underlying mechanisms and an array of treatment options.
